Under the support policy of the Japanese government, Micron will introduce the most cutting-edge production lines at its factory in Hiroshima Prefecture. Micron Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sanjoy Morotea (Sanjay Mehrotra) revealed the above news in an interview. The company plans to introduce cutting-edge lithography equipment to produce next-generation memory chips.

 

"We will introduce extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography equipment for the first time in Japan, and start producing cutting-edge products from around 2026," Morotya said. Micron will introduce extreme ultraviolet lithography machines to Japan by 2025 and improve related systems. But it did not disclose the specific amount of assistance from the Japanese government.
